Salman Khan house firing case: आरोपी Anuj Thapan आत्महत्या करता है, Mumbai पुलिस-

While in police custody in Mumbai, Anuj Thapan, who was involved in the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, allegedly committed suicide. Thapan was found hanging on a bedsheet in the lock-up restroom. Even though he was rushed to GT Hospital, he was found dead during treatment.

An accidental death report will be filed at Azad Maidan police station in south Mumbai, officials say. In Punjab, Thapan and Sonu Kumar Bishnoi were arrested for allegedly providing weapons to shooters Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, who were already in custody.

On April 29, a special court in Mumbai under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) extended the police custody of three accused until May 8. Vicky Gupta, Sagar Pal, and Anuj Thapan received extension from special MCOCA judge AM Patil. Sonu Kumar Chander Bishnoi was sent to judicial custody for medical reasons.

The accused were initially charged under the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act. However, the police later invoked the stringent MCOCA against the alleged shooters Gupta and Pal, Bishnoi and Thapan, for their roles in providing firearms and ammunition. Also, in the case, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol were listed as wanted.

The incident, which took place on April 14, involved two criminals firing shots on a motorcycle at Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. This led the police to file an attempted murder case under IPC Section 307.

आरोपी Anuj Thapan

Salman Khan घर का मामला: Anuj Thapan, who was arrested from Punjab on April 26, was held in a joint detention with 11 others.

Delhi: Police said that on Wednesday, Anuj Thapan, 23, one of the four men who were arrested in connection with the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s Bandra house, committed suicide at the crime branch lock-up at Mumbai police headquarters near Crawford Market.

Anuj Thapan, also known as Anujkumar Omprakash Thapan, was arrested from Punjab on April 26th and, along with 11 other people who were arrested for crimes, are currently in a common lock-up at the police headquarters.

According to a police officer, Thapan went to the washroom around 12:30 p.m. He was found hanging from the toilet window grill when some inmates went to check on him when he did not return for a long time। Thapan was immediately transported to the nearby Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital, where he was declared dead. The body will be sent to JJ Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The death will be investigated by the State CID.

Another man in the detention said Thapan had been worried about being “stuck in the case” since Tuesday night and feared that he might not be able to get out of jail because of the stringent sections of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) invoked by the Mumbai Police.

The suspects, who are allegedly members of the organized crime network led by imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi, have been subjected to Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

Anuj Thapan and his associate Sonu Subhash Chander, also known as Sonukumar Bishnoi, are accused of providing the firearms and ammunition used in the shooting incident that occurred around 5 am on April 14 outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments। Fortunately, no people were hurt in the attack.

Anmol Bishnoi said he was responsible for the incident in a social media post। Consequently, the police have issued a lookout notice for him. Lawrence Bishnoi currently is incarcerated in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.

The crime branch initially made the arrests two days after the incident: The accused shooters were Kutch, Gujarat, residents Vicky Kumar Gupta (25) and Sagar Kumar Pal (24). April 26th, the police arrested Thapan and his companion.
